Scooby's Association

Asociația „Scooby’s Shelter” is a registered non profit organization (ONG) in Romania, dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming abandoned dogs and cats.
CIF: 53050646

We have been operating from Scooby’s Shelter in the Iași region since November 2022, fully compliant with all Romanian DSV legal requirements.

Scooby’s Shelter was founded by Ionuț and Caroline after rescuing their first dog and cat from Romania during the lockdown in 2021. While traveling in Romania, they stopped for a short break and saw an abandoned dog in the middle of nowhere. That moment changed everything.

The dog they rescued was named Scooby, and his story became the beginning of Scooby’s Shelter, a place to give abandoned animals a second chance at life, safety, and love.

Scooby’s Shelter is run by a small but dedicated team, supported by local and international animal lovers who share our mission. We are also proud to be supported by our local council, who work with us to make a bigger difference for animals and the local community.
